Hockey Hardware®: The Original Game contains the following components:

  • 110 Cards, including 68 Game Cards, 30 Adversity Cards, and 12 Trophy Cards.

  • 16 Player Position Pieces, including 8 Forward Pieces and 8 Defence Pieces.

  • 7 Dice, including 5 Stat Dice, 1 Game Die (black), and 1 Bonus Die (green).

  • 4 Conference Pieces.

  • 1 Game Schedule, which includes 15 Rounds and 2 Intermissions.

  • 1 Score Sheet Notepad, which includes 40 Score Sheet pages in total (20 sheets with two-sided print).

  • 1 Rule Book.

  • Pens are not included.

68 Game Cards

Game Cards contain hockey actions that players can use to get themselves ahead in the game or push their opponents back.

30 Adversity Cards

Avoid Adversity if you can! Adversity can mess up your game strategy, set you back, or even derail your season.

12 Trophy Cards

The player with the most Hockey Hardware after the Third Period earns The Champion's Cup and wins the game!

16 Player Position Pieces

These pieces determine your Position as Forward or Defence and they also determine your Roster Level.

Hockey Hardware East and West Conference Pieces. Red pieces are East and Blue pieces are West.

4 Conference Pieces

These pieces are printed on both sides and they determine if you are playing in the Eastern or in the Western Conference.

5 Stat Dice

Roll Stat Dice to collect Hockey Stats and determine if you face any Adversity on your turn. Your Roster Level impacts how many Stat Dice you roll on your turn.

1 Game Die

The Game Die determines how many Game Cards you get to draw on your turn. It has a high value of 4 and a low value of 1.

1 Bonus Stat Die

Roll the Bonus Die if you are playing on Line 1, Pair 1, or if you play a Home Ice Advantage card. Bonus rolls are always protected.

1 Rule Book

The Rule Book tells you all you need to know about how to play Hockey Hardware: The Original Game.

1 Score Sheet Notepad

Use your Score Sheet to keep tally and count of your Stats. It also acts as a leaderboard, so players should use them to keep a watchful eye on their opponents' production and strategy.

Using your own pen(s) helps reduce the games environmental footprint. It also lowers the risk of an accidental ink leakage damaging the game during transit or storage.
